This Privacy Policy explains what information SOORYA AI collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google profile identifier. We do not receive your Google password.
• Birth details. To generate astrological readings we collect the name, date of birth, time of birth, place of birth, gender, and derived geographic coordinates that you enter — for yourself and for any family members you choose to add.
• Astrological chart data. We compute and store a birth chart derived from the details above so we don't have to recompute it each time.
• Palm photos. If you use the Palm Reading feature, you provide a photograph of a palm. Photos are stored privately in your account (visible only to you), and a temporary link — not a public one — is used to run the AI palm analysis. Deleting your account deletes your palm photos.
• Reports and questions. We store the reports you generate and the questions you ask, along with their generated answers.
• Payment records. Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card, UPI, or bank details. We retain transaction metadata such as order ID, payment ID, amount, and status.
• Device & usage data. Basic technical data (app version, device type, error logs) used to keep the app working and diagnose problems.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create your account and authenticate you.
• To compute birth charts and generate personalised astrological reports, horoscopes, compatibility analyses, and answers.
• To process payments and deliver the products you purchase.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the app.
• To communicate with you about your account or support requests.

3. Automated & AI Processing

SOORYA AI uses third-party artificial-intelligence services to generate readings. Your birth chart data (and the text of any question you ask) is sent to these services solely to produce your report. For Palm Readings, the palm photo you provide is analysed by an AI vision service via a temporary, expiring link. We do not use your data to train AI models, and we instruct our providers not to do so where that option is available.

4. Who We Share Data With

We share data only with service providers who help us run the app, and only as needed to provide the service:

• Supabase — secure database, authentication, and file storage (hosting your account, charts, and reports).
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI generation of reports, horoscopes, and answers.
• AstrologyAPI — calculation of planetary positions and chart details from your birth data, and AI analysis of palm photos for the Palm Reading feature.
• Razorpay — payment processing (subject to Razorpay's own privacy policy).
• Google — sign-in.

We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers.

5. Data Retention

We keep your account and astrological data for as long as your account is active. If you change your birth details, older reports built on the previous details are automatically removed. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 7).

6. Security

We protect your data with industry-standard measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level access controls so each user can only access their own data, server-side handling of all sensitive keys and payments, and encrypted on-device storage of your session. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

7. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data (you can edit your details in the app).
• Request deletion of your account and data.
• Withdraw consent for processing.

8. Children

SOORYA AI is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. The birth details of a minor may only be entered by a parent or guardian.

9. International Transfers

Our service providers may process data on servers located outside your country. Where this happens, we rely on those providers' contractual and security safeguards.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notifying you in the app.
